Applications are invited for the post of Project Fellow under the UGC funded Major Research Project titled, “Physics of Earthquakes and Delineation of Himalayan Thrust Faults”. The duration of the project is three years. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Minimum Essential Qualifications: The candidate to be considered for appoinunent of Project Fellow must have a minimum of Second Class (55% marks or equivalent CGPA, 50% in case of SC/ST/PH) in Master’s Degree in Physics/ Geophysics from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates who have appeared in the final year/ semester examinations are also eligible to apply. For further terms and conditions kindly refer to the rules available on UGC website. The appointment will be purely contractual for 01 year which may be renewed on yearly basis for a maximum of 3 years OR co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier on a consolidated monthly payment of Rs. 16,000/-only for NET/GATE/GPAT qualified candidates and Rs. 14,000/- only for Non-NET/Non-GATE candidates. For other tenns and conditions UGC/University rules will be applicable.
Age limit: Candidates should be below the age of 40 years at the time of application.

Procedure for Selection: Applications shall be scrutinized on the basis of qualification, experience and suitability of the candidate to the work. Only shortlisted candidates after the initial screening shall be called for an Interview. List of eligible candidates shortlisted for the interview shall be intimated by e- mail ONLY.
