United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan UNMOGIP JOB OPENING
We are looking for a qualified individual for the above position.
POSITIONS
a. Maintenance of all data/voice connectivity in Jammu, Rajouri & Poonch Field Stations (FSs).
b. Provide support for all ICT installations in the Field Stations of Jammu, Poonch & Rajouri in the following areas:
Installation of flat screen monitors in the 3 Field Stations. Activate/ Deactivate Video Conferencing system in Sgr. HQ when required. Corrective basic maintenance for Radio (HF/VHF) installations (basic troubleshooting and maintenance as guided by HF/VHF specialist).
Corrective basic maintenance of telephone system in the stations.
Corrective basic maintenance for VSAT installations (basic troubleshooting and maintenance as guided by VSAT specialist).
Servers and data network equipment’s basic maintenance as per requirements set by network administrator.
C. Provide a support of quality on all software products: Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Operating System (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows server 2008/2012).The internet tools (navigators, email, etc.). Network devices (switches, routers.) diagnosis of the hardware.
d. Communicate/coordinate user’s network management/ configuration and requirements to the UNMOGIP network administrator.
e. Preventive maintenance of ICT installations on bi-monthly basis.
f. Ensure that all ICT services provided to the Field Stations operate satisfactorily.
Qualifications & Experience
Overall 5 years of work experience in a client oriented ICT enterprise is required. Diploma in IT related field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in Network Administration, Certification in A+, N+, Linux+ and MCITP or MCSE, MCSA is required, Certificate in CCNA and Server is an added advantage. Prior working experience in an international organization will be an advantage.
Terms:
Will be offered an Individual Contractor Contract for a period of six months and remunerated in accordance with the standards applicable for locally recruited Individual Contractors, depending on qualifications and experience.
