Kashmir University Walk in Interview
Walk-in-interview will be held at the Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir on Saturday February 18, 2017 at 2.00 pm for the recruitment of the following contractual positions for the academic year 2017:
Name of the post
i) One Lecturer in Mathematics for North Campus
ii) One Lecturer in Chemistry for Zakura Campus
iii) Two Laboratory Technicians for Electronics & Communication Eng. Labs for Zakura Campus
iv) Two Laboratory Technicians for Mechanical Engineering Labs for Zakura Campus
v) One Laboratory Technician for Computer Engineering Lab for Zakura Campus
Essential/desirable qualifications for the above positions shall be as under:-
A) CONTRACTUAL LECTURERS:
Chemistry: M.Sc. Chemistry, Mathematics: M.Sc. Mathematics.
Preference will be given to the candidates having NET/SET or higher qualifications.
Salary:
The salary of the appointees having NET/SET or PhD degree shall be Rs. 25,000/-per month or Rs. 22,000 for appointees without NET/SET or PhD degree.
B) CONTRACTUAL LABORATORY TECHNICIANS:
Skills Required of Laboratory Technicians:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Must be able to operate and maintain high technology equipment in laboratories.
Assess requirements for laboratories: Must be able to assess the requirements for high-tech laboratories and convert them into purchase indents.
Receive Quotations and Categorize them: Get involved in filing quotations and organizing them according to the requirement.
Manage Inventory: Should have knowledge of managing inventory of equipment and infrastructure for laboratories.
Additional skills preferred: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications Required of Laboratory Technicians:
Laboratory Technician for Mechanical Engineering Lab: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Laboratory
Technician for Electronics and Communication Engineering Lab: Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering or BSc in Electronics.
Laboratory Technician for Computer Engineering Lab: Diploma in Computer Engineering or BCA or BSc in Computer Science/lnformation Technology.

Interested candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview as scheduled above at the Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir. Candidates are required to bring completed application form (application form can be downloaded from the University website), original and a photocopy of certificates of their qualifications and other documents if any in support of their application.
Salary
The salary of the appointees having degree in engineering (or equivalent) shall be Rs. 10,000/-per month or Rs. 8.000 for appointees having diploma in engineering (or equivalent).
Note: Preference will be given to candidates having higher qualifications.
