All types of private transport vehicles will go off the road as All J&K Transport Welfare Association, an apex body of all the Transport Unions, has decided to go on indefinite ‘Chakka Jam’ strike from March 29, 2017.
Declaring this at a joint press conference on Saturday , Chairman of the Association TS Wazir, accompanied by presidents of various Transport Unions said that State Govt has not taken serious note of the issues of the transporters despite meetings in present of Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and some other officials besides several representations. He said in view of the indifferent attitude of the Govt, the transporters and operators of all types of vehicles including buses, trucks , tankers, mini-buses, taxies, Sumos auto-rikshaws etc have decided to launch indefinite strike from March 29.
