Traffic Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday said that it had made special arrangements for dissemination of information related to traffic situations in view of the winter season, particularly regarding Srinagar – Jammu national highway and other important roads in the State.
According to an official statement, information regarding traffic restrictions was being given in advance on daily basis on Facebook page of Traffic Police titled “Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police”. Besides, traffic updates on real time basis was also given on this page with regard to traffic situations on all the major roads in the State.
The Traffic Police has also started a toll free phone number 1800-180-7091 on which information regarding the traffic restrictions could be sought. Information regarding any emergency situation on the road can also be given by the public on this toll free number seeking assistance from the Traffic Police, the statement read.
In addition, for any traffic related information people could also get updates from the traffic control units at Srinagar (0194-2450022), Ramban (9419993745) and Jammu (0191-2459048).
The Traffic Police has also started a number 9622-88-2222, available round the clock, on which complaints, feedback and suggestions could be sent by SMS and WhatsApp mobile applications and may include text messages, photographs and videos.
