Traffic Update 1800 hours
Tomorrow on 20.12.2015, traffic on National Highway will ply both ways with the following restrictions in view of slippery condition of road:-
From Jammu (Nagrota) Srinagar bound passenger vehicles will be allowed to move only between 06 AM to 01 PM while heavy vehicles will be permitted only between 6.30 AM to 11. 30 AM. No Srinagar bound passenger vehicle will be permitted to cross Udhampur (Jekhani Chowk) after 2.30 PM while no heavy vehicle will be permitted after 1.30 PM.
From Qazigund light motor vehicles shall be permitted to move towards Jammu only between 8. 30 AM to 3 PM while heavy vehicles shall be permitted only between 9 AM to 2 PM.
Due to slippery condition of the road, no movement of traffic is being allowed on Mughal road today after 1600 hours today. However, subject to fair weather and good condition of road, movement of traffic on Mughal road will be allowed from Shopian as well as from Chandimarh side only between 1100 hours to 1600 hours tomorrow.
As per the notification issued by the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Srinagar – Kargil road shall remain closed for all types of traffic w.e.f. 20.12.2015 till further orders. As such no movement of traffic from either side shall be allowed on the said road till further orders.
Bandipore-Gurez road closed for all sort of traffic.
Synthan-Kishtwar road closed for traffic.
