29,917 Gazetted, non- gazetted posts vacant in JK
The government on Thursday said that 29,917 Gazetted and non-gazetted posts including KAS and KPS are lying vacant in the state.
“3463 Gazetted, 23454, non-Gazetted posts, including KAS and KPS are lying vacant in the state,” Incharge Minister GAD, held by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, said in the Lower House today in a written reply to a question by Congress MLA, G M Saroori.
Mehbooba said that 3463 posts in Public Service Commission (PSC), 13316 posts in Service Selection Board (SSB) and 5389 posts in Police Recruitment Board (PRB) have been referred to these recruiting agencies so far.
“From past two years 637 posts have been filled in PSC while 17558 and 1609 posts have been filled in SSB and PRB respectively,” government said.
